Who you are dealing with

Guess That (guessthat.org) is operated by Maximilian Danner, Danner Solutions, Bodendorf 16G, 4223 Katsdorf, Austria, kontakt@danner-solutions.at. See also the imprint.

The game

Playing Guess That is free. Singleplayer works without an account; playing with others, ranked matches, friends and supporter tiers need an account, which you create by signing in with Google. How we handle your data is described in the privacy policy.

The game is offered as it is. We keep it running and improve it, but we do not promise that it is always available or free of errors, and modes, maps and features may change over time.

Your account

  • One account per person. Your account is yours alone; do not share it.
  • Player names are visible to everybody. Do not choose a name that is offensive, impersonates somebody else or breaks the law.
  • Do not cheat — no tools that look up or compute distances during a round, no automated play, no exploiting bugs to gain rating or experience.

If you break these rules, we may change your player name, reset rating or progress gained unfairly, or suspend your account. A supporter tier bought for an account that is suspended for cheating is not refunded.

Supporter tiers

You can support the game by buying a supporter tier:

  • Supporter Tier 1 — €4.99
  • Supporter Tier 2 — €7.99
  • A one-off purchase, not a subscription. You pay once; nothing renews and nothing is charged again.
  • What each tier includes is listed on its card on your profile at the time you buy. Tier 2 includes everything in Tier 1. Upgrading from Tier 1 to Tier 2 costs the full Tier 2 price.
  • The tier belongs to the account you bought it with and cannot be transferred. It lasts as long as that account and the game exist.
  • Individual perks may be adjusted as the game changes. We will not take away the tier itself.
  • Prices are in euros and final. As a small business under § 6(1)(27) of the Austrian VAT Act (UStG), we do not charge VAT.
  • Payment is handled by Stripe. The contract is concluded when you complete the payment on Stripe's page. Your tier is unlocked automatically, usually within seconds.

Right of withdrawal

As a consumer in the EU you generally have the right to withdraw from a contract concluded online within 14 days, without giving a reason.

For a supporter tier, this right ends when the tier is unlocked, which happens immediately after payment. Before you pay, Stripe's checkout asks you to confirm that you agree to these terms. By confirming, you expressly agree that we begin immediately — that your supporter tier is unlocked right after payment, before the withdrawal period is over — and you acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal (§ 18(1)(11) FAGG).

If the tier was, for any reason, not unlocked after your payment, your right of withdrawal still applies. To exercise it, send a clear statement to kontakt@danner-solutions.at within 14 days of the purchase, for example: “I withdraw from my purchase of Supporter Tier 1 made on [date] for the account [player name].” We then refund the full amount, using the same payment method, within 14 days.

Refunds and chargebacks

Beyond the right of withdrawal above, purchases are not refundable. If something went wrong — you were charged twice, or the tier never arrived — write to us and we will sort it out.

If a payment is refunded or reversed through your bank (a chargeback), the supporter tier bought with it is removed from your account.

Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are not liable, except where mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, for example when the game changes. The version that applies to a purchase is the one you accepted when you made it.

Law and disputes

Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country.
